Thrasher is a cult that grew out of a pure love of skateboarding. In 1981, Thrasher Magazine was founded and quickly became the bible for all skateboarders. From a print magazine it gradually grew into a production company, a radio station and eventually an iconic clothing brand that is still part of the streetwear and skateboard scene today.
The iconic logo in the style of a burning flame has become one of the most recognizable symbols of skateboarding. You can find it on their oversized hoodies, t-shirts, caps or backpacks. And the best part is that this clothing isn't just heavy on style, it was directly designed for skateboarders. The durable materials can withstand falls, sliding and everyday wear. Thrasher is synonymous with raw, authentic skate culture.
The brand has been embraced by many familiar faces from outside the skate community. It has been worn by Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Tyler, The Creator, Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner. This often causes controversy among die-hard fans who claim that the Thrasher only belongs to those who actually ride a skateboard. The reality is that Thrasher has long since transcended skateboarding and has also become a symbol of rebel streetwear culture.
Thrasher is a lifestyle that brings together people who are not afraid to go their own way. Choose your piece on Footshop and show the world that you are one of those who won't be bound by the rules.
