Converse chuck taylor 70s
Many of us love canvas Chuck Taylors for their vintage look. You're not likely to find a sneaker on the market with a longer history and stronger cultural roots than the Conversky. And it's not just for lovers of pieces from yesteryear that Converse decided to introduce the Chuck '70 collection. The latter differs from the classics at first glance with stitching on the side of the silhouette and a slightly yellowish sole with a black line, which is also slightly higher and beautifully accentuates the overall retro feel. But at the same time, you'll find a new breathable insole that will keep your foot comfortable even on a day trip.

Converse sneakers, Converse sneakers, Converse capes or simply Converse sneakers - you can call them whatever you like. The important thing is that this brand came on the market in 1908 as the Converse Rubber Shoe Company, which makes Converse shoes one of the sneakers with the longest and from many angles the richest history.
A century of Converse and the birth of Chuck Taylor
The great Converse sneaker boom was helped by a man whose name is far from unknown today, at least to those who wear Converse. His name was Chuck Taylor. He was a basketball player who came into the store at the time saying that his sneakers were making his feet sore. Little did he know how much of an impact Converse shoes would have in the future. In fact, over time, he made a deal with the brand to become an ambassador. He was instrumental in modernizing the classic Converse high top silhouette, which was given the name of Taylor himself in 1932. Thus, the Converse Chuck Taylor sneaker was born.
A major change in production hit Converse shoes with the advent of World War II. The company began to orientits production towards the militaryinstead of the public . Converse sneakers were transformed into durable Converse sneakers for soldiers, and a range of other equipment including protective clothing was added to the range. After the war, production went back to normal and the traditional Converse capes were once again on their way to their happy customers.
Converse and basketball
It will come as a surprise to many Chuck Taylor fans that this was originally a shoe designed primarily for basketball players. And indeed, for a long time Conversky held its place as the most popular shoe of basketball players. Over time, the Chuck Taylor model has already been replaced on the playing field by its successors, but Converse shoes still enjoyed popularity. Even the legendary Michael Jordanwore them .
With the strong emergence of competition towards the end of the 20th century, Converse sneakers began to disappear from the space between the two baskets. On the other hand, they experienced a big boom among rockers and the punk subculture, but even these communities couldn't prevent the downfall that was imminent for Converse shoes. But Nikecame to the rescue of the drowning legend, buying the company and pulling Converse out of the bottom.
