Reebok Club C 85
The essence of vintage minimalism that defines contemporary streetstyle - Reebok Club C 85
Looking for a sneaker that's more about pure style than flashy branding? The Reebok Club C 85 is seen in the Footshop community as the absolute holy grail of the "clean" aesthetic. Originally created as a tennis shoe for champions, they are now a symbol of effortless flair that effortlessly blends retro vibes with modern minimalism. If you want a shoe that looks just as good with your most expensive designer trousers as it does with a pair of distressed vintage jeans, the Club C 85 is your obvious choice.
From the tennis courts to the top of the fashion moodboards
The "C" in the name stands for Champion, and the Club C 85 has held that title since 1985. In its day, it was a technically advanced shoe that had to meet strict dress codes on the tennis courts. Today, this silhouette is back in full force thanks to the global boom in "archival" and "vintage" fashion. In Footshop, we watch as the Club C 85 has taken over the streets of metropolises - from Copenhagen to New York - and become a favourite piece of creatives and people who know that simplicity is the greatest strength.
Premium leather and comfort that never ages
What makes the Club C 85 so addictive is the combination of materials and low profile. The upper made of soft, high-quality leather adapts better to your foot with each wear and gets just the right patina. Your comfort is taken care of by the moulded insole and lightweight EVA foam midsole, which absorbs the shock of daily pounding of the city tarmac. The distinctive Reebok logo and Union Jack window on the side is a subtle reference to the brand's rich history, giving the shoe just the right authentic touch.
Who wears the Club C 85 and how do you dictate trends in them?
Today, the Reebok Club C 85 is the uniform for those who love the "quiet luxury" and clean look. At Footshop, we recommend pairing this silhouette with wide baggy trousers that fall easily over the shoe, or with sporty sets for that true 90s vibe. The minimalist shape makes them the perfect canvas for any outfit - from technical outerwear to relaxed smart-casual style. If you're looking for a shoe that never goes out of style and always gives you the right aesthetic edge, invest in a classic that has won the battle against time.

J.W. Foster, the founder of Reebok, created the first studded running shoe (the predecessor of today's trainers) in 1895. Reebok shoes did not begin to be produced under their current name until many decades later, in 1958. The company's name was given by two of Foster's grandsons who found the word in an old Afrikaans dictionary. Its meaning was the naming of a species of antelope, symbolizing the speed and grace that a man running in a Reebok represents.
Reebok footwear gained its fame especially in the 1980s when aerobics was experiencing a huge boom. Women's Reebok shoes went on a tear back then, which helped all the other industries that Reebok was involved in. In the mid-1980s, the originally English company greatly expanded its sphere of influence overseas, and Reebok sneakers began to become a global phenomenon.
Retro models and combat sports
Despite the public's initial scepticism, Reebok shoes now play a strong role in streetwearculture outside of sport . The idea of resurrecting several retro models has contributed to this. These include the Reebok Daytona, Instapump Fury or Reebok Aztrek sneakers, which perfectly captured the retro trend of recent years. Reebok is now a subsidiary of German giant adidas, among others, and its current policy is to support sporting events around the world. Some of the most famous ones include the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship). It is therefore no surprise that Conor McGregor has become the main face of the new Reebok Zig Kinetica.
But besides sneakers, you'll also findReeboksportswear and casual wear at Footshop. There are T-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets and slippers, so you can put together an entire outfit in either men's or women's versions. So explore our range and get the quality that's been proven for centuries.
