Cotopaxi Allpa Getaway 55L Duffel

Cotopaxi is a sustainable outdoor brand that brings an explosion of color and unique design

The brand Cotopaxi is a true revelation in the Footshop offering, redefining the modern outdoor and streetwear market. This brand from Utah, named after an active Ecuadorian volcano, is not just a manufacturer of clothing and technical gear; it is a certified B Corp that places social responsibility and ecology on par with profit. Cotopaxi defines the category of conscious urban outdoor, where top-notch functionality meets an explosion of color and a deep ethical story. Today, it is sought after by those who no longer want to wear uniform fashion but are looking for products with a clear opinion, soul, and a proven positive impact on the planet.

The story of the Gear for Good® movement and the collectible Del Día culture

The brand was founded by Davis Smith, who spent his childhood in Latin America and witnessed the impacts of extreme poverty firsthand. In 2014, he established Cotopaxi with the vision of creating a global movement to combat poverty through sustainable business. Under the motto Gear for Good®, the brand donates a percentage of its revenue to the Cotopaxi Foundation, which supports communities in developing countries in areas of healthcare, education, and livelihood.

At Footshop, we appreciate this brand for its absolute transparency and courage to break the established standards of monochromatic outdoor. The brand's greatest technological and design manifesto is the Del Día collection. Each piece from this line is a true unique and collectible original. The seamstresses in factories in the Philippines have complete creative freedom in its production – they combine leftover materials from other large productions according to their imagination. The result is unique color combinations, where no two backpacks or jackets in the world are the same, perfectly aligning with sneakerheads' desire for uniqueness.

Leftover materials as a premium product for urban layering

What we highlight most about Cotopaxi products is their material genius. Instead of creating new waste, the brand gives a second life to fabrics that would otherwise end up in landfills. In our selection, you'll find staples that fit perfectly into a modern technical wardrobe:

• Del Día backpacks and bags (e.g., Allpa): Legendary travel and urban luggage made from highly durable, waterproof TPU nylon, featuring a thoughtful internal organizer.
• Lightweight windbreakers and Teca jackets: Packable, wind-resistant pieces made from 100% leftover polyester, ideal for layering in changing urban weather.
• Fleece and insulated outer layers: Clothing with excellent thermoregulation properties that combines retro aesthetics with modern cuts.
• 100% transparent sustainable production: Every product is made with fair working conditions and a focus on minimizing carbon footprint.

In the Footshop offering, we recommend pairing pieces from Cotopaxi with technical sneakers (e.g., Salomon or Asics) – let their unique color identity shine in contrast to modern tech-wear style. It’s an investment in fashion that not only serves you well but also helps change the world for the better. Choose your original at Footshop and wear designs that truly matter.
